Managing Mobile Lines in Domestic Violence Situations
If you or someone you know needs to transfer mobile lines due to domestic violence or abuse, please contact our Customer Service at (815) 453-8353 or email us at reach-sca@reachmobile.com. Our dedicated representatives are trained to handle your requests securely and confidentially. Here’s how we can assist you:
- You will need to provide us with accurate information about your situation and the phone numbers involved.
- Supporting documentation from a court, law enforcement, health care provider, or social worker may be required. Under federal law, we cannot impose penalties, fees, or other restrictions on your line transfer in these cases. However, you may be responsible for device-related payments if you choose to retain your handset.
- While we may not be able to accommodate every situation, we strive to minimize costs and any burdensome processes.
- Once your line transfer is complete, you are eligible to subscribe to any plan offered by our company. You also have the freedom to port your number to another service provider.
- You may qualify for a service discount through providers participating in Federal Lifeline programs to assist with the costs of your new plan.
We encourage you to reach out to the National Domestic Violence Hotline to provide you with additional support. The Hotline offers free, confidential support, crisis intervention, safety planning, education. You can reach the National Domestic Violence Hotline 24/7/365 at:
